OUR MISSION

Wyoming Hunger Initiative has a simple mission: to end hunger in Wyoming.

Wyoming Hunger Initiative works to prevent food insecurity by increasing awareness and support for the work of local anti-hunger organizations statewide.

Nourished kids, healthy families, and thriving communities: that's the goal of Wyoming Hunger Initiative.


ELIGIBILITY
Any organization within the state of Wyoming whose mission aligns with the mission of the Wyoming Hunger Initiative and was not a recipient of funding in the Spring Cycle of grants in 2022 is eligible for grants.


FUNDING AVAILABLE
For the Fall 2022 grant cycle, individual grants will be awarded from $500- $5000.


GRANT CRITERIA

Grant monies can be used for projects and equipment. While requests for start-up costs will be considered, we will not award monies for food or salaries. Interested in the scoring rubric? You may download a copy here.


TIMELINE
Grant applications will be accepted no later than 8:00 p.m. MT on Friday, July 29, 2022. Successful applicants will be notified by September 5, 2022.


REPORTING
If you are awarded a grant, a Project Update Report must be submitted to Wyoming Hunger Initiative no later than 8:00 PM MT on March 6, 2023 to meet the qualifications of this Wyoming Hunger Initiative infrastructure grant.

2022 Fall Cycle Infrastructure Grant Application

Wyoming Hunger Initiative has partnered with Lowe’s to increase the number of products and appliances that are available. Are you willing to travel for your item and/or are you willing to work with Wyoming Hunger Initiative to receive your items through Lowe’s, which will in turn stretch the number of dollars available for this grant cycle? (This portion of the process will happen post award if willing).

Budget Proposal

Please provide, as an attachment, a budget proposal for your requested equipment or project and how it correlates with your annual budget. Include in the budget a plan for if your request is not met through this grant; how will you accomplish your project goals? Please also provide information on matching funds or financial collaboration with other entities. Lastly, include more than one quote for equipment/infrastructure items that you wish to purchase. Grant requests showing matching funds and/or collaboration will be given priority over other grant applications.
