Platte Valley Kiwanis

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has affected people’s lives, and livelihoods, both across the world, and closer to home right here in the beautiful Platte Valley of Wyoming.

Mission statement: Platte Valley of Wyoming COVID-19 Assistance desires to provide support to employees of small businesses in the area whose lives have been affected by the COVID-19 situation.

Goal: Our goal is to provide $50 grocery gift cards to up to 200 individual employees of small businesses in the Platte Valley who are affected by the COVID-19 situation.

Who is eligible: Small business owners (less than 25 employees) in the Platte Valley (e.g. Saratoga, Encampment) may request assistance for their employees who are experiencing hardships as a result of the COVID-19 situation. If you are an individual employee in need of assistance, please share this information with your employer.

How to request assistance: Small business owners may contact PlatteValleyKiwanis@gmail.com to request assistance for their employees. Small business owners will need to provide a) business name, b) owner contact information (name, email, phone, address) and c) the number of affected employees in need of assistance.

When will assistance be provided: We hope to have the first round of assistance distributed before the end of March 2020. Continued assistance will be provided as funds become available through donations. Businesses receiving assistance for their employees will be selected at random and the small business owner will be notified.

Fundraising efforts: Platte Valley Kiwanis has committed $1,000 to this effort, enough to provide assistance to 20 people! With your help, we hope to raise $10,000 in donations to meet our goal of helping 200 people.
