Carbon County School Closure
Please visit our online School Closure School Food Delivery Route document on Google Drive for all delivery of school meals. The district will no longer be utilizing school buses for delivery, so please look for numbered vehicles instead.
Saratoga will be serving free lunches for students. One free lunch per student-aged child can be picked up at Saratoga Middle/High School between 11:00 AM—12:00 PM, Monday-Friday. Lunch will not be served during the scheduled spring break.

If you, your family, or someone you know in the community needs additional support with groceries or meals, please refer to organizations working to meet the need in Carbon County. If not otherwise indicated, please call ahead for most updated hours and services.
Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies will offer a mobile food pantry on the following dates:

In response to rapidly developing COVID-19 concerns, new hours will be set aside for senior citizens 60+ and the immunocompromised to shop ahead of the general public. Stores will be open to the general public after the hours conclude. Please share these new hours widely so all shoppers might follow them.

Carbon County Senior Services' eight senior centers are offering either curbside pickup meals or home-delivered meals to residents 60+. Residents must contact the center in their community to sign up; contact Lisa Engstrom, Executive Director, at (307) 328-2863 or email with questions.
Platte Valley Kiwanis
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has affected people’s lives, and livelihoods, both across the world, and closer to home right here in the beautiful Platte Valley of Wyoming.
Mission statement: Platte Valley of Wyoming COVID-19 Assistance desires to provide support to employees of small businesses in the area whose lives have been affected by the COVID-19 situation.
Goal: Our goal is to provide $50 grocery gift cards to up to 200 individual employees of small businesses in the Platte Valley who are affected by the COVID-19 situation.
Who is eligible: Small business owners (less than 25 employees) in the Platte Valley (e.g. Saratoga, Encampment) may request assistance for their employees who are experiencing hardships as a result of the COVID-19 situation. If you are an individual employee in need of assistance, please share this information with your employer.
How to request assistance: Small business owners may contact PlatteValleyKiwanis@gmail.com to request assistance for their employees. Small business owners will need to provide a) business name, b) owner contact information (name, email, phone, address) and c) the number of affected employees in need of assistance.
When will assistance be provided: We hope to have the first round of assistance distributed before the end of March 2020. Continued assistance will be provided as funds become available through donations. Businesses receiving assistance for their employees will be selected at random and the small business owner will be notified.
Fundraising efforts: Platte Valley Kiwanis has committed $1,000 to this effort, enough to provide assistance to 20 people! With your help, we hope to raise $10,000 in donations to meet our goal of helping 200 people.
